Belle Isle Residents Association (BIRA) is a non-profit neighborhood association in Miami Beach, Florida.
Our mission is to be the voice of residents dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life on Belle Isle. We focus on various aspects such as safety, security, traffic control, parking convenience, noise control, park beautification, cleanliness, open spaces, planning, development, licensing, permitting, and any other matters that may impact residents and their well-being on Belle Isle.
One of our primary goals is to foster communication between residents and the government. We provide a platform for residents to express their concerns and create a sense of community. BIRA maintains regular contact with city officials to address the maintenance of Belle Isle Park, sidewalks, plants, and trees. We actively monitor city commission agendas and land use boards to safeguard the interests of our neighborhood. Essential updates on significant issues that may affect residents are regularly shared with building managers, boards, homeowners, and members.
Membership in BIRA is open to all Belle Isle residents, and our board members are elected annually through a membership vote at the annual meeting. We encourage residents to join and participate as volunteers. All our efforts are driven by dedicated volunteers, and we strongly encourage every Belle Isle resident to get involved.
BIRA was established in December 2004 and officially incorporated in January 2008. Since then, we have been committed to serving the Belle Isle community and advocating for the best interests of its residents.
